The Springfield Data Center (SDC) serves as one of Massachusetts's two primary data centers, backing up and supporting the state's existing Massachusetts Information Technology Center in Chelsea.

The former Technical High School in Springfield, Massachusetts is now the Commonwealth’s new computer center.The new building maintains elements of the building’s historical facade - in keeping with its historic neighborhood - while boasting state-of-the-art computer and environmental technologies.

Springfield Data Center (SDC) is a showcase green data center, having been designed with the latest technologies in energy-efficient data center infrastructure, sustainable building design, consolidated computer technologies, and the use of renewable and cost-competitive energy sources.
